How to use the school library

Welcome to Kunsan national university. There are a variety of facilities that you can use here, but for this article, I will introduce you to the libraries. Our first library was built in 1979. And of course, it has developed over the years. For example, they opened sites for English users and Chinese users in 2008. Also, they developed the mobile application for reserving seats and books. As a result, they were even won the 49th Korean library award in 2017.
There are two libraries in our university. They are Hwangryong Library and Central Library. Hwangryong Library is a newer library that was remodeled last year. And the Central Library was remodeled in 2017. The Hwangryong Library is in front of the main gate. You can reach there in 1 minute on foot. And the Central Library is in front of the College of Liberal Arts. And you can reach there in 10 minutes on foot. But be careful, you must ascend 50 stairs also if you want to get there.

There are about 650,000 books and 3,000 academic journals at the Central Library. Also, there are CDs, tapes and DVDs. On the website (https://library.kunsan.ac.kr/main/main.php,), you can use e-learning service, RISS service, etc. And on the application, you can use audiobook service and e-book service. You can borrow 7 books for 10 days. In the case of graduate students, they can borrow 10 books. And if you want to extend the period, check on the application or the website before day 10.
You can use the Central Library from 9am to 8pm on the weekday and 9am to 1 pm on Saturday. But during the vacation, you can use it from 9am to 6pm on the weekday and you can’t use it during the weekend. As for the Hwangryong Library, you can use from 6am to 12am every day. But if you registered for ‘24 hours – reading room’, you can use the 0.5 floors after midnight. For further questions, you can call (☎ 469-4179).
