Many people go to universities to choose their majors for their careers and to learn more about their chosen majors. Currently, our university consists of 7 colleges, 10 departments, and 31 departments with 20 majors. There are several students who are interested in other fields besides the major they have chosen. Our university system of recommendation for such students is the multi-major system.

Our university is introducing to many students a "multi major" system to adapt a diversified society, overcome the limitations of specialized fields or occupations, and to expand their academic horizons and employment opportunities. The multi-major system includes dual majors, minor majors, linked majors, and shared majors. The dual major aims to satisfy the diverse academic needs of educational consumers and to foster integrated thinking and open-mindedness among academics by moving away from the sub-centered curriculum. In order to apply for a dual major, students have to completed more than three semesters of registration, acquired more than 30 credits, and a third major is a student who has completed more than six semesters of registration and has obtained more than 90 credits. In the case of transfer students, those who have completed more than one semester are eligible. Dual majors can be applied in May and November, the fixed period of each semester, and applications can be made at the office of the multi-major engineering department.

Share major is a major that has opened a separate convergence curriculum without any organization by participating two or more teachers, including two or more departments or majors in and out of school. The purpose of Share major is to expand the range of major choices and provide opportunities to acquire new knowledge to students through the opening of various shared majors in response to rapidly changing social demands. Students who have obtained more than 45 credits in the shared major can be selected from the second semester of the second year and completed from the third grade. You can apply for the major at your department's office or at the Hwangryong Human Resources Education Center (Convergence Education Support Center).

Only one department can apply for multi-major completion, and applications for double-major completion will be invalidated. With this in mind, I hope that many students will be interested in the multi-major system of our university and expand their career path. For more information on multi-major, please contact the Bachelor's Department (☏ 469-4123) or the relevant department's office.
