1. Please introduce yourself.

Hello, I’m Kamalova Dilnoza(Dina) majoring in Korean Language and Literature from Uzbekistan.

2. Is there a reason why you chose Korea and Kunsan National University?

And if you have a final goal of studying abroad, please tell me!

I was interested in Korean history, culture, and literature. So I decided to study abroad in Korea because I wanted to study Korean, the country I love. As an acquaintance, I got to know Kunsan National University and applied for admission. The final goal of studying abroad is to promote Korean culture to Uzbekistan.

3. Do you have any memorable episodes while studying abroad?

First of all, I remember going to Membership Training and having fun with my the same major friends. I also have memories of five friends who always helped me when I was a freshman who couldn't adapt easily to school life. And when I said, “ It’s hard” and “I don't understand.” the professors always gave me warm words of encouragement and detailed explanations that gave me a lot of support in studying abroad. The interest and love of professors and friends in the department helped me a lot. So I was able to adapt quickly to studying abroad.

4. Is there anything you want to say to foreign students at our university?

We are all precious daughters and sons to our parents. So I hope you take care of your health first, think about your parents who are worried about us studying abroad. And please be careful of Covid-19, which we are currently experiencing. We can’t completely change the world overnight, but if we practice the basic quarantine rules, the butterfly effect will be achieved. Also, I hope you have a pleasant school life with Korean students, helping each other. I believe that having a positive mindset and showing courage to reach out to other students will help your university life smoothly. Take care of your health and let’s all cheer up!

5. Lastly, what does Kunsan National University mean to you, Dina?

Kunsan National University is a ‘rich learning place’ for me. I was able to learn not only academically but also the importance of family, friends and the culture of Korea. Kunsan National University helps me achieve my dream. It is a place I really appreciate.
