Before the 2016 presidential election, a film director, Jon Favreau made a video. The cast for this video includes many movie stars like Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Mark Strong and so on. General people take part in, too. They keep emphasizing how important voting is. It is important for our children, our communities, and America. They said “This is not just an election, it’s tipping point for the country, for the world.”, “Not just the presidency, the Senate, the House, your local officials, immigration, supreme court.” At the end of the video, they let the viewers know, “If you don’t know where and how to register, go to ‘savetheday.vote’.” This video was not made for the first time.

A film director, Steven Spielberg made ‘Don’t Vote’ before a presidential election. This video was made to stimulate the sceptic voters to vote. The cast for this video includes many movie stars like Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Leonard DiCaprio, Harrison Ford and so on. They received the script that was written “Don’t vote.” They thought it was weird, but followed the direction. They said “don’t Vote,” “one vote does not count” and “one tiny little bit person in this entire country and you’re just this one.” Yet, in the middle of the video, Harrison Ford refused and claimed “I can’t do it, it’s not true I don’t believe it. 537 people decided the 2000 election and you want me to tell people that one vote does not count?” Only then Steven Spielberg told them to say what’s in your heart. Then people said “it make sense.” Will Smith added “I’m voting because when I was growing up my father told me that if you don’t vote then you have nothing to say.” So did others. A black person expressed his opinion on voting as follows: “If you’re not voting for yourself but for people like me.” “Vote for the future of your children.” A Child’s mother claimed “I’m voting because the bank that was funding my daughter’s school loan just closed ... I’m voting because I care about gun control ... I’m voting for a better planet and I have the right to vote.” There are so many reasons why you have to vote. They and this video keep emphasizing how important it is, too.

In case of Korea, low turnout is a serious problem as well. People don't care about the election and people think that the election day is just another holiday and so on. This kind of people makes problems. The problem of low turnout is various and expanded to all. For example, first, you can’t elect the right leader. Second, the leader who was not elected in a right way can’t make the right government. Third, every negative thing turns to people of a nation. As they have said first, voting is important for children, communities, nation and the world. We can make the right community with our hands. We will face the important presidential election in 2017. We have to exercise our right and vote. Nobody can bother you. There is no barrier that you can’t vote. Just Vote.
