 Every year, August 12th is International Youth Day. This day was declared through a UN resolution, proposed at the ‘World Youth Conference’ in Lisbon, Portugal in 1999. Since then, commemorative events have been held in each country. This year, a related event was held in Jeollabuk-do, Korea too.

 But in Korea, there wasn’t a specific day for youth until 2020. And from 2020, Korea Youth Day has been designated as a legal anniversary and that is the third Saturday of September. This day is designated to promote youth development and support, and to raise interest in youth issues. Therefore, the state and local governments can hold various events.

 Representatively, there is an event held by ‘Youth & Future’. This year, it will be held on September 17 at Seoul Olympic Park Peace Square. The festival will be held in the order ▲ 4th Industrial Engagement and Startup Festival ▲ Creator Festival ▲ Blockchain, Digital High-tech Industry Promotion Hall ▲ Cultural Event ▲ Awards Ceremony and Celebration Performance. It is said that there are opportunities to communicate directly with creators and to get various gifts.

 In Gunsan, you can enjoy youth and Korea Youth Day too, at the ‘Gunsan Youth DDEUL’. This means the field for the youth. Here, there are various facilities and programs for youth. By renting this space, you can gather with your friends and carry out some activities, from cooking to a casual meeting. In addition, equipment such as laptops, cameras, 3D printers, and sewing machines can be rented. Plus, you can also participate in the employment, start-up, and counseling programs conducted by ‘Gunsan Youth DDEUL’.
