1. Please introduce yourself.

 Hello, my name is Liu Xin, an international student from China. I am currently attending the music department at Kunsan National University as a transfer student. The reason why you chose Kunsan National University?

 Since I was young, I liked to watch musicals and wanted to be a musical actor. As you know, Korea is the country with the most active musical production and performance in Asia, so despite of the seriousness of COVID-19, I came to Korea to study! Actually, my parents were against my choice of music, so I don’t have enough financial support. that’s why I chose Kunsan National University, because it’s not expensive and has many famous professors!

2. What was the most useful experience while attending and learning Kunsan National University?

 When I was in China, there were no Koreans around me, so I had to learn Korean if I wanted too. After I came to Kunsan National University, I met a lot of Korean friends and quickly learn Korean and adapted to the life in Korea, thanks to my good Korean friends. I also majored in Korean, so I didn't know anything about music, so I was very worried during the first semester. But I met good professors and got a lot of help not only from studying but also from life! And I got a scholarship and now I am also the president of international students at Kunsan National University!

3. What was difficult because of Korean and your culture were different?

 Korea and China have similar cultures, so there is little difficulty, but when I first went to the music department, I was surprised because of the student who suddenly so at first I couldn't get used to it. In China, the relationship between seniors and juniors is not so clear, so I couldn't get used to it at first. However, my friends knew that I was a foreigner and were considerate of me, so I got used to it.

4. What do you want to say to foreign students like yourself?

 Those of you who came to study abroad during this special time, be careful about taking a break from work. Let's meet again in China later!
