Korea was colonially ruled by the Japanese colonial rule, and became independent and established the government in 1948, but less than two years later, the Korean War broke out. The number of Korean troops killed at that time was well over 400,000, and almost a million civilians were killed, injured, or lost their families. After that, chaos continued, and Korea finally came to a truce in 1953. Fortunately, as time passed, Korea began to regain stability. And in 1956, the Memorial Day was designated to commemorate the spirit of national defense and the spirit of the fallen soldiers, the many of the patriotic martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and the people. On Memorial Day, sirens will sound for one minute nationwide at 10:00 am. paying a minute's silent tribute, we are not only paying tribute to the soldiers who died during the Korean War, but also the spirits of those who devoted themselves to protecting our country. And Memorial Day is the day when only a handful of the year's flags are kept low. On that day, the flag is lowered to half-staff. So let's raise the flag low, pay a silent tribute on June 6, and remember the spirit of sacrifice for the patriot.
