 Do you know April 28th? Do you also know Admiral Yi Sun-shin? Perhaps generally people know about Yi Sun-shin, but they might not know about April 28. Admiral Yi Sun-shin led the army as a commander in the Imjin War, and made great contributions to defeating the Japanese army by winning every battle. Sadly, however, he died in Battle of Myeongryang.
  Yi Sun-Shin was born in 1545 and died in battle in 1598. He is the hero who saved people in the Battle of Imjin War. He'd never been defeated with a brilliant military operation. If Japanese army just heard the name of Yi Sun-shin, they were busy running away.  The first in Yi Sun-shin's achievement was to completely take control of the disaster control during the Japanese nvasion of Korea and block the Japanese military's main strategy of attacking Hanyang with amphibious landing, keeping the Honam region safe in the war by not only handing over the maritime rights to Japan, one of his achievements is development and deployment of an upgraded new weapon, the Turtle Ship. Many people know that the turtle ship was developed by Admiral Yi Sun-shin, but in fact, it was built by accepting the idea of Na Dae-yong, who devoted his life to the development of the warship. Na Dae-yong used Yi Sun-shin's moderation as a 
stepping stone to develop the Changseon and the speedboat Haechu Line, which 
contribute greatly to improving the power of Joseon's military. It's a merit-based greeting. 
 During the war, he wrote a diary, Nanjung Diary. It was a great contribution to the documentary culture. It contains his personal story and naval of Joseon Dynasty. We can 
even know his personality through the Nanjung Diary. 
 April 28 is the birthday of Yi Sun-shin. The birthday of Admiral Yi Sun-shin was established to honor the nation's love for the nation . It is held on April 28 every year, and various events are held to commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-shin, who sacrificed his life to fight and defeat the Japanese army when the country was in crisis due to the Japanese invasion of 
Korea.
 Hyeonchungsa Temple is a place to honor Chungmu-gong, and after about 200 years of continuous memorial service. 
Once Hyeonchungsa Temple was almost destroyed during the Japanese colonial period.
The Chungmugong Preservation Committee took the lead in rebuilding the shrine and enshrining the portrait in 1932. After Korea's liberation, the memorial service is held on every April 28th.
 In 1956, the grave of the general in Samgeori, Mbong-myeon, Asan County, was designated as Historic Site No.112 and in 1967 the Memorial Temple was 
also purified, groomed and codified, and designated as Historic Site No.155.
